Event Description:

Integrative Cleveland is a practitioner alliance devoted to advancing the integrative medicine community in Northeast Ohio–a professional organization that uses the Cleveland AIHM chapter as a kind of home base but aims far beyond the chapter to encompass the entirety of the regional IM community.

The website through which it operates, integrativecleveland.com, is designed as a hub for activities and information that can serve this vision.  It’s a multi-purpose online tool we can use to expand, connect, consolidate, and empower our community and to grow the integrative movement in Northeast Ohio.

As noted in its mission statement, the site is intended as:

–an interactive forum for integrative, functional, and holistic medicine practitioners

–a bulletin board for event listings

–a portal to IM educational opportunities and resources

–a venue for expanding professional networks through connections with like-minded practitioners, educators, and researchers

–a place for non-integrative physicians to learn more about the integrative model and the local integrative community, and for dialogue between the two communities

–a public resource for patients seeking integrative medicine services in this region

–a vehicle for promoting the integrative model and the values of patient-centered health care

–a proposed template for AIHM chapters and other groups striving to build participation and connectivity in their own integrative communities

–the communication organ of the AIHM Cleveland chapter

At this event, the chapter’s co-leaders will introduce and showcase the reworked website, discuss its many intended applications, and, in a “Town Hall” networking session, solicit the input of the online audience for enhancing the website and otherwise strengthening integrative medicine in Northeast Ohio.

Ample time will be reserved for questions, comments, and community dialogue.

Anyone either practicing, studying, or interested in learning about integrative medicine is welcome to attend!

As a possible template for other AIHM chapters striving to build participation and connectivity in their own integrative communities, Integrative Cleveland may also be of interest outside the Cleveland area.  We invite members of chapters elsewhere to attend and participate!
