Reviewing the science of EMF, the impact of health, and mitigation strategies.

Speaker Bio:

Lisa Smith is a Building Biology Certified Electromagnetic Radiation Specialist with advanced training in the measurement and mitigation of Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs). She is the owner of EMF Wellness Tucson and has been conducting EMF assessments of homes, schools, and businesses in the Tucson area since 2020.

Dr. Smith holds a PhD in Applied Economics, specializing in health and nutrition. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, she served as a Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, D.C. She also held visiting professorships at the Emory University School of Public Health and the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Arizona. In addition to her work with EMF Wellness, she continues as a Senior Economist at TANGO International, where she conducts research on food security, nutrition, and climate resilience in Sub-Saharan Africa.
