AIHM Collaborates with Thomas Jefferson University’s Marcus Institute to Expand Integrative Medicine Education
San Diego, CA – 02/25/2025 – The Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine (AIHM) is proud to announce a new collaboration with Thomas Jefferson University’s Marcus Institute of Integrative Health to advance integrative health education. This collaboration unites the strengths of AIHM’s long-standing expertise in integrative health training with Jefferson’s proven fellowship programs, providing an unparalleled educational experience for healthcare professionals.
For many years, AIHM has offered one of the leading remote fellowships in integrative healthcare. Moving forward, the Marcus Institute will take on this role for AIHM, enhancing its existing programs with select AIHM-developed didactic content. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to equipping healthcare professionals with the highest-quality training and continuously evolving the fellowship experience to meet the growing demand for integrative healthcare.
Jefferson’s two-year, part-time, remote fellowship is designed for working professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge in integrative healthcare while maintaining their practice. Approved by the American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS), it fulfills all requirements for the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABOIM), making graduates eligible to apply for board certification. Jefferson also offers a full-time, onsite fellowship, advanced practice certificates, and a master’s degree in integrative health sciences.
Limited spots remain for the next start date in early April.

“I’m gaining the tools and knowledge I need to have a better conversation with my patients. Turns out, they’re as ready for a new approach to healing, as I am ready to use what I’ve learned in the AIHM Fellowship.”
