Root is excited to announce that we are looking for a provider to join our practice and learn  Dr. Byrne’s renowned style of traditional Primary Care infused with Functional and Herbal  Medicine.  

Root opened as a small homegrown integrative practice in 2015, and through word-of-mouth alone has become highly sought-after in the Boston area, most known for our balanced and comprehensive approach. As our medical system falters, Dr. Byrne has persevered in her vision to revolutionize the standard patient experience of Primary Care.  While typical care becomes more algorithmic and disconnected, Root offers deeply personalized, out-of-the-box thinking. While many practices strip away the vital time needed to grow a partnership between patient and physician, Root prioritizes investing more time to know our patients inside and out. Dr. Byrne also recognizes the importance of happy and fulfilled providers and, therefore, strives to provide flexibility and work-life balance to all practitioners. 

In January 2025, Root transitioned to an innovative hybrid practice model; Dr. Byrne sees a very small panel of Concierge patients so that much of her time can be dedicated to training new providers one-on-one and mentoring Root’s current Physicians and Nurse Practitioners, who see patients in our Primary Care Membership model. Dr. Byrne offers more intensive teaching to new providers in root-cause approaches to primary care, including aspects of  Functional and Herbal Medicine, but remains available to all practitioners for support throughout their employment at Root.
