Executive Director

The Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine is seeking our next Executive Director to lead our organization. AIHM was established in 1977 and serves as an interprofessional community of healthcare providers, researchers and academics. We are singularly united by the common goal of advancing the knowledge, practice and policies that champion treating the “whole” person — mind, body, spirit, community and planet. AIHM members are clinicians, schools, nonprofits and government agencies in integrative healthcare. We are committed to working collaboratively to transform our healthcare systems. from disease-care models to holistic, sustainable, health-creation models.

Strategic Leadership & Governance

1. Lead the execution of AIHM’s strategic vision, with a strong focus on education, sustainability, and national impact.

2. Advise and collaborate with the Board on governance best practices, strategic priorities, and progress reporting.

3. Promote organizational alignment with AIHM’s mission and future-focused initiatives.

4. Lead Marketing for the organization.

5. Direct efforts at philanthropy and Business Development.

Operational & Financial Oversight

1. Oversee daily operations, capital planning, and business practices to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and long-term viability.

2. Direct financial management, including budgeting, fiscal planning, and performance monitoring aligned with strategic objectives.

3. Ensure regulatory compliance, risk management, and accountability across all departments.

Education, Programs & Membership

1. Guide the Director of Online Education in the development and delivery of high-quality educational offerings on the digital platform.

2. Collaborate with the Board and staff to plan and execute successful conferences.

3. With the Director of Membership, strengthen and expand both individual and organizational membership programs to drive growth, engagement, and value.

4. Align educational and programmatic efforts with AIHM’s mission to lead in integrative health education.

5. Strategize with the Director of Admissions to drive  enrollment for all programs and offerings.

External Relations & Partnerships

1. Identify, build, and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions, nonprofits, corporations, and other key stakeholders.

2. Represent AIHM externally to elevate its national presence and develop new affiliations and collaborative opportunities.

3. Foster community outreach, development initiatives, and audience growth for education and membership.

Culture, Team & Communication

1. Provide inspirational leadership to foster a high-performing, collaborative, and mission-driven organizational culture.

2. Ensure effective internal and external communications, supporting brand consistency and transparency.

3. Support staff development, retention, and performance by promoting respect, equity, and engagement.

STARTING SALARY: $125,000-$135,000
