The recognition of Whole Health as a more successful approach to public health and healthcare is not only gaining traction within the Veteran Administration but also nationally, as called for by the National Academy of Medicine (NAM). The US Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek H. Murthy, MD, MBA, VADM, US Public Health Service, confirms that the time is now for a whole person approach to public health. This is an encouraging call to action for our integrative health professionals community to keep stepping even more actively up and getting engaged in the work to change our current healthcare paradigm towards a Whole Health system where integrative health and medicine practitioners will play a key role to improve lives.
