Dr. I. Jean Davis has decades of experience as a community advocate, educator, clinician, and researcher.
Her extensive education includes a BA in Psychobiology, a BS in Human Biology, an MS in Clinical Research, a Doctoral degree in Chiropractic Medicine, and a PhD in Preventive Medicine.
Dr. Davis is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science, a Clinician at Dusk 2 Dawn Urgent Care, and the AHIM Fellowship Curriculum Advisor.
She is the Past Medical Director and HIV Clinician at AIDS Health Care Foundation, Clinical Director, HIV
Specialist at Desert AIDS Project, and HIV Specialist and Trans Health Provider at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Dr. Davis is a past PI and Director of the National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer, AIDS
Education Training Center, National Minority AIDS Education Training Center, Center for Advancement of Allied Health, Targeted Provider Demonstration Grant, and many more academic grants.
Dr. Davis completed Fellowships at the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM) in Integrative
Health and Medicine, Johns Hopkins in Epidemiology, the DOD in Breast Cancer, and NHLBIC in Cardiovascular Disease.
She is the AIHM Board Chair, Co-Chair of the Black, Indigenous, People of Color Committee, and the first American of African Ancestry to serve as an AIHM Board Member and a Beyond AIDS Board Member.
Dr. Davis serves on multiple academic and community committees, with a central interest in health promotion and disease prevention.
As an integrative healthcare provider, she focuses on disorders and diseases that disproportionately impact marginalized communities.
