Special Guest: Kelly Miller DDS
Raised in Lawrence, Kansas, Kelly Miller followed in her father’s footsteps with a keen interest in dentistry. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 2000, and went on to earn a master’s degree in Biomedical Science from the National University of Ireland, Galway, in 2002. Following the completion of this degree program, Kelly spent a few years working in the field of research for the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at KU. She received her doctorate degree in dentistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2009. Shortly after joining Lawrence Dental Solutions, she became exposed to the IAOMT and the journey began on a more integrative approach to dentistry. Since that time, the practice has continued to grow and learn in the biological approach to dentistry. Today, the practice utilizes technologies like 3D cone beam, ozone therapy, laser therapy, mercury safe dentistry, and airway treatment to help get the best outcome possible for clients.
Topic: Biological Dentistry
The topic of Biological Dentistry will include a discussion on what is biological dentistry and how oral health and dental treatment can affect an individual’s overall health. Biocompatibility of dental materials and sources of hidden infection will be part of the topics discussed.
