GROUPS OVERVIEW
AIHM utilizes Working Groups to carry out projects and tasks aligned with furthering the AIHM mission of clinical care, research, and education. Members of Working Groups are researchers, educators, and clinical educators who are typically connected with schools organizational members. Each Working Group meets approximately 5 times a year.
Working Group members volunteer to work on projects to further our collective values, mission, and vision.

Clinical Working Group
The focus of the Clinical Working Group is to identify and advance projects in clinical education that cultivate an interdisciplinary understanding and respect among professions. By enhancing the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors (KSABs) of individuals involved in integrated clinical settings, the Clinical Working Group aims to nurture and develop integrated and collaborative patient care.

Education Working Group
The focus of the Education Working Group (EWG) is on identifying and advancing educational projects that foster inter-disciplinary understanding and respect among professions. These projects inform students, practitioners, educators and the public about the role of interprofessional education in the advancement of integrative healthcare values and practices. EWG supports interprofessional education among the ACIH disciplines as well as the broader healthcare community.

Research Working Group
The focus of the Research Working Group (RWG) is to promote mutual understanding, collaborative activities, and interdisciplinary health care education through research. The broad priorities of the RWG are: shifting the culture at CAM institutions to better embrace research; redirecting the research agenda regarding these disciplines so that it is of greater use to the members of the professions; and building research capacity within the ACIH disciplines.
